VR Experience PROMENADE is a 6DOF, fully immersive & stylised, interactive documentary experience for Quest with handtracking. 7<\/p>\n

Written, Directed & Produced by Christos, PROMENADE charts contemporary artist Mike Hatjoullis’ intergenerational family journey from Cyprus via the family’s hotdog stall in Blackpool’s 1950’s heyday to a scholarship at The Royal College of Art at the start of the swinging 60’s.<\/p>\n

Mike’s iconic Black & White lino print work was translated into 3D models for the environments, (created in VR using Gravity Sketch & optimised in Blender), with embedded classic BFI footage, ambisonic spatial audio &  A.I colourised personal archive materials. <\/p>\n

A stylised yet naturalistic feel is created for the imaginative re-telling of a rich narrative; a story of dislocation, alienation & integration \/assimilation.<\/p>\n

Commissioned by Storyfutures & produced in collaboration with BFI & BBC as part of the award winning Storytrails strand, the piece was selected for a 15 city UK tour. 40,000 visitors, 1.3m engagements, several awards.<\/p>\n

Subsequently selected for a BFI Xperiences tour at BFI locations around the country. 300 events, 5,000 visitors, 87% would attend again.<\/p>\n
